Sam was born in North Wales in 1968. She studied graphic design at Manchester Metropolitan University in the 1990's and moved to Devon in 2005 to devote more time to painting. Sam is inspired by the vast skies and diverse landscapes of Devon and responds with the vibrant and versatile properties of acrylics and oil on canvas.

Sam has exhibited with the Foxhole painters of Dartington in Totnes and in joint exhibitions at the Harbour House Gallery in Kingsbridge. Sam is currently working towards her next joint exhibition at Harbour House in 2012.
